Holloman pilot usually takes NHL player Scott Mayfield, his brother, on flight

Brothers Patrick and Scott Mayfield have generally been shut.

On Aug. 4, Patrick, a U.S. Air Power Captain stationed at Holloman Air Pressure Base took his brother New York Islanders hockey participant Scott Mayfield on an F-16 flight.

Capt. Mayfield is a pilot instructor with the 314th Fighter Squadron.

The flight was meant to display the similarities — and variances — involving actual physical training for fighter pilot and that of a qualified athlete.

“The full plan of Scott flying along with us definitely came along when they started bringing the optimizing human weapon process software to the foundation,” Capt. Mayfield said.

“Our commander believed it would be a truly fantastic idea to get my brother out in this article and see the services and then, between he and I, began pushing for getting a flight for Scott so that he could basically see what individuals exercises and physical education periods and everything else go into.”

The optimizing the human weapons plan can help aircrews with the pains that occur with flying which includes individuals difficulties that appear with encountering G forces.
